Every time I hear or read someone incorrectly use the word “literally”, I literally want to murder them.
“Used to acknowledge that something is not literally true but is used for emphasis or to express strong feeling.” - Second definition. Literally one of the best words in the English language. It’s literally my 15th favourite word.
